I've heard the splinter as an "evaluation tool" argument but does not agree in a situation like this. With a useful doubleton and AQxx and ace of D, I'd be prepared to move past 4H as well.<BR/><BR/>Second one, I think part of the problem is responding 2NT instead of showing the void with Hxxx and an outside trick source.
